THE CHILDREN OF CUPA.
The mother had been very ill, and the questionwas, where shall we take her so that shemay get thoroughly well? It must be some placewhere the family might accompany her. Shehad declared that she would not go withoutpapa and Nellie and Walter.
It was nearing the close of schooltime, andpapa's yearly vacation was at hand, so therewould be no difficulty on that score. Some onehad suggested Santa Monica as affording a completechange of scene, but the doctor tabooedthat place and she herself did not care for it.
