In the previous pamphlets, “English Methods of BirthControl” and “Dutch Methods of Birth Control,” one finds aduplication of the methods given in the first pamphlet, “FamilyLimitation.” The French methods of Birth Control are sonearly the same that I have decided not to duplicate theseagain, but to give instead a list of the books and pamphletsissued by the French League, and also cuts or pictures of someof the articles they have for sale at their headquarters, 27 Ruede la Duée, Paris. These will be found at the end of thispamphlet.
I also find that the methods used to control births inGermany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, India, Russia, and Japan have all been greatly influenced by the English andDutch Neo-Malthusian Leagues (the two oldest Leagues). Togive further national methods would be only a waste of time andmaterial, and would add nothing to what has already been given. This does not mean that there are not many other mechanicaldevices. There are numerous ones; but I still find that there isnothing better, safer, cheaper, or more convenient than thepessary mentioned in “Family Limitation.”
In France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and Swedenthere are strong Neo-Malthusian movements advancing the BirthControl theories by lectures, literature, and practical means. InRussia, Japan, India, and United States there have been recentlyfeeble attempts to establish Birth Control movements; but asyet they have remained embryonic.

Before closing this series of pamphlets on the practicalmethods of Birth Control, I feel in justice to the many readersand subscribers of the Woman Rebel who inquired about thetheories of Magnetation, Male Continence, Sedular Absorption,Karezza, and Zugassent’s Discovery, that this series would notbe complete without giving at least a general idea of thesetheories and their practice.
It is interesting to note that the magnetation theory hadits best and longest practice, as well as its beginning, in America, under the title Male Continence. This method was practised forover forty years by a group averaging 130 men and 150 womenknown as the Oneida Community. They occupied a part of theold reservation of the Oneida Indians in New York State, andlived in a harmonious and prosperous form of Communisticsociety. John Humphrey Noyes was the head and founder ofthe group. Through personal experience and prolonged study, hediscovered the theory of male continence. Since that time manyothers have come forward with the same theory under variousnames. Almost without exception, each advocate has injectedsome kind of religion into it. The Oneida Community wasparticularly a religiou
